Social Enterprise World Forum 2017
has partnered with Ekos to turn the SEWF 2017 event into a "tree". Huh?
Yes, trees take more CO2 out of the atmosphere than they put in and so will the SEWF 2017 event. Cool.
It will do this by calculating the SEWF 2017 CO2 emissions footprint from transport (flights and road transport), electricity, and waste, and then offsetting at least 120% of this footprint.
This is for the event supply chain and participants/delegates.
How It Works
The CO2 offsets for SEWF 2017 are sourced from the Rarakau Rainforest Carbon Project on Maori land in western Southland. The Maori landowners at Rarakau have given up the legal right to sell rainforest timber in exchange for the opportunity to sell carbon offsets to people like you.
